LCN has numerous open mine pits which can handle literally tens of millions of tons of fill. The Springdale pit alone, pictured above, can accommodate over sixty million tons of fill. LCN is located on one contiguous property, comprised of over 9,000 acres, stretching 8 miles from Tamaqua to Nesquehoning, PA. Currently, the Springdale pit is permitted to accept coal ash disposal, and does so at a rate of 300,000 tons per year.
